A New Provincial for a New Province
The former Superior General, Fr. Mark Garrow, MIC, has been elected Provincial for the Marians' newly combined Province: the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of Mercy Province.
He will reside at the Provincial headquarters in Stockbridge, Massachusetts.
In addition to the election of the Provincial, a new Provincial Council was also elected. Formed from former members of the St. Stanislaus Kostka and St. Casimir Province — which was unified with this Provincial Chapter — the new Provincial Council consists of: Fr. Daniel Cambra, MIC, Vicar Provincial; Fr. Kazimierz Chwalek, MIC, 2nd Councilor; Fr. Timothy Roth, MIC, 3rd Councilor, and Fr. Donald Calloway, MIC, 4th Councilor.
As Superior General from 1999 to 2005, Fr. Garrow oversaw the Marians' worldwide Congregation and served as its top representative to the Holy See. Since his ordination in 1984, Fr. Garrow has been known for his zeal to fulfill his Congregation's mission to spread devotion to Our Lady, be a witness to Christ's mercy, and serve the Church in a variety of ministries.
